Jump-Start Program at VCSU
High school sophomores, juniors and seniors who have at least a 3.25 GPA and are progressing toward completion of core courses may enroll as early entry students at VCSU.
How can I use these courses?
Some classes may meet dual enrollment opportunities with your high school program; all Jump Start courses count on your college transcript. Jump Start courses provide a great start on your VCSU degree and readily transfer to any college or university in North Dakota. Most coursework will transfer out of state as well; please check with the school you plan to attend.
How do I enroll?
To enroll in courses, you must first complete a VCSU application for admission. This includes an approval form for your high school Principal to sign.
How will classes at VCSU fit with my high school program?
Classes are offered in a variety of formats during the regular school day, during the evening, online and through the Interactive Video Network (IVN).
Which classes should I take?
The list of recommended courses is available here, but you can consider any course that interests you and counts toward the General Education Requirements at the University you are planning to attend. Your high school counselor will be able to help you plan.
How much will it cost?
